About
Built by racers. Built for race day.
PITVUALT started the way most race-car fixes start: a notebook full of numbers nobody could find when they needed them.
Every short-track team has the same problem. The setup that ran third at Redwood Acres last September lives in a spiral notebook, on the back of a pit pass, or in someone’s head. The belts expire and nobody notices until tech. Half the crew finds out Saturday morning that you’re racing.
So we built the app we wanted in the pits: big buttons you can hit with gloves on, a dark screen you can read under the lights, and no need for a signal. A setup for every car at every track. What changed since baseline. Your numbers checked against the class limits before you roll to tech. Your race calendar, your crew, your gear dates and the weather in one place.
We started in the West — Northern and Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Oregon — because those are our tracks. We’ll go where racers ask us to go next.
What we promise
- Your setups are private by default and yours to export or delete.
- No ads. We don’t sell your data.
- Downgrading never deletes your data.
- We’ll tell you straight what the app does and doesn’t do. We track dates; we don’t certify gear. We check your numbers against the limits you loaded; the tech official decides.
Who builds it
PITVUALT is made by Derek and Chris at Pistonhouse HQ, where we build software for auto shops. Derek builds the app. Chris keeps it honest in the pits.
